Every now and then you walk through a forest in the dark, lost in your own thoughts. Suddenly you are startled by the sound of rustling leaves right next to you: “WHAT THE… Oh, it’s just a blackbird doing what it loves to do.”

I saw this chap yesterday. It’s interesting to see the nictitating membrane over its eye when it throws leaves around. You can’t really see it with your naked eye as its head moves very fast.
