Chefs should always post two versions of their #cooking videos. A regular one and another that's simplified that even I can follow.

Regular recipe: 45 ingredients and 6 days to prepare

Simplified recipe: "here's how to cook a #turducken with only two ingredients!"

#healthyeating

I just texted someone a #BlueSky post that had a screenshot of a (pre-X) tweet I feel like I just made a digital #turducken.

Been thinking about #Turducken for a month or two.

Some meaty monstrosity, a roast turkey stuffed with a roast duck. Then a chicken inside the duck.

Malignant events can be constructed in a similar way, with layers of evil wrapped around each other. One event sets up the next. Reactions, then more events. Then global events that fuck everything.

I am not speaking of a single event, right now.

I am thinking of the construction of an evil event chain.

Which then brings me to another dish that is, I think, the perfect midway (pun intended) between the #turducken and mythological demi-creatures - the Cockentrice. It was the fore-half of a young pig sewed onto the aft-half of a rooster.

We just so deeply wanted these magical mixups to be real!

The most famous, most over-the-top predecessor to the #turducken was Grimod de La Reynière's "rôti sans pareil" - a seventeen bird nesting-doll of a meal.

Following that line of thought I find a lot of resemblance in the modern tradition of the #turducken - or, engastration in general (the technique of stuffing some food inside of another - and sometimes stuffing that inside of another and then stuffing that inside another...)
