Is the new #Tunnels&Trolls: #ANewAge actually #T&T? I do agree, at least in part, with this podcaster’s view that Rebellion is unnecessarily misusing the name to sell a different game. I don’t see any homage here. Unfortunately, even if it’s a nice #TTRPG in its own right. It’s not #TNT. Not for me!

I’ve just been reading some comments on #Tunnels&Trolls: #ANewAge. On the one hand, I agree with the criticism that this version doesn’t have much in common with my beloved #TNT #TTRPG anymore; on the other hand, I feel that some of the criticism of the ‘modern’ pool system is a bit too harsh.

If it says #Tunnels&Trolls on it, I expect #TnT. I'm sticking with the original! The new system may be great, but if I want a different #TTRPG, I'll play that. Strange decision to buy an established game title with a distinguished history & then put a completely different system in it. Good luck...

Do you know #TheLairoftheLeopardEmpresses #TTRPG based on #Monsters!Monsters! ~ it‘s a quite nice variant of #Tunnels&Trolls / #TnT? The new rules seem pretty cool, but if I wanted to play something „fresh“ like #T&T, I would probably go in this direction. Your mileage … #TTRPG

Yeah, the new version seems to be quite fine! In my opinion, the new system differs (a lot) from the “original” #Tunnels&Trolls . When I want to play #TnT, I don't want a modern pool system, etc. Expectations and tastes vary. I continue to follow the project. #TTRPG

At first glance, the new #Tunnels&Trolls is clearly a clever, modern #TTRPG system, but the dice pools, for example, work very differently from the original system. Luck is now a resource for re-rolls, among other things. Nicely done, but it's no longer #TnT - in my opinion. Why the title, then?
