It took less time to make this much than to draw the chart. It goes fast when you only have a little bit of yarn. A 5 mm hook with lace weight yarn also helps.

I'm half way through the yarn and at 53 cm in length. I'd like to make the whole chart, so I'm just spinning more, hoping the second dye job will be close to the first.

I'm out of BFL, but I have some Falkland that has a similar fiber thickness and length, so I'm hoping it won't be too obvious.

Another w.i.p.... Tunisian crochet pattern by Kim Guzman. I want to make this big enough to be a shawl. 😁😁

A 6th 0f the washcloth weighs about 4.4 g, but I've only around 3g. Hopefully my scale is just inaccurate, cause I like the pooling, but if I must, I will frog it & make it smaller.. Which I might do anyway, cause I forgot how I did the centre. #TunisianCrochet

@consumablejoy @yirggzmb Yes, it is different from Tunisian Crochet. Tunisian Crochet is its own beastie, structurally different from both crochet and knitting.

With knitting, you have a row of loops, and work across the row replacing a loop with a new loop, ending up with a new row of loops. With crochet, you have one loop, pull up a new loop, do a stitch, and end up with one loop (most of the time). In knitting terms, crochet is like picking up a stitch and then immediately casting off again.

With Tunisian Crochet, it is like picking up an entire row of stitches (loops) and then casting them all off (untill you have one loop left) and then doing it all again.

#audhd brain at work. #fiberarts #crochet #tunisiancrochet
Hey says adhd brain. How about we make a Tunisian crochet slipper or sock. Autism brain say “whauuu, I love this this idea. If we do this and find the perfect pattern, we can make it into a pattern we can sell online and maybe support ourselves economically.” Autism brain goes crazy and make a pattern. Audhd brain is kinda already checked out because it’s gardening season. Adhd brain and autism brain is like. “WTF, all this and now?”

Sometimes the beauty of a lace pattern can be obscured by the fluffiness of the yarn itself.

In this case, the little project on my Tunisian crochet hook is made up of 3 rows that create a lovely lace pattern only when you look through it. Looking at it, you can't even tell how thick the yarn is.

This project is made on an 8 mm hook and that feels just right for the yarn. #tunisianCrochet #lace

Good Morning. Beige Blessings be upon you

Yesterday I had hoped to get my essay plan done, unfortunately my body needed more rest than that and I didn't get anything done, because I rested.

So today I want to have a look at my essay and at least start pulling some ideas together. I will start by going over the notes I made at my tutorial last week and go from there.

I will try to take Tiny Dog for a walk again, and eat a nutritious lunch.
I am hoping to play some games and do some crochet. I want to finish my crochet blanket by mid June and then I have a Tunisian Crochet Elf Coat that I have been making for my nibling for 2 years now, that I would like to get finished for their birthday in October.

I am really looking forward to finishing my studies so I can sit and crochet with an audiobook or podcast playing as that is my happy place!

The basic idea is at the return pass of a #TunisianCrochet row, one chains. So I replaced that with a slip st to the starting rows! Because of the way these are formed it works like a bunch of rounds of DCs joined with sl st. I should have chained at the edge too, but I'm going down a hook size. Might need to join with SCs too.🤔

Figuring out how to make a hexagon washcloth in #TunisianCrochet . All the elements are there, but I'm still figuring out how they go together.🤔

I had to use a very thin hook, but I have a potentially clever way to join it, which this margin is too small to contain. (IE sl into first row, hiding the join in a corner row of loops)

Currently 32 rows on The Placemat. I am feeling impatient - why can't it be finished already?
