Around 250-300 people attended a protest on Wednesday near Sabey Corporation headquarters in Tukwila Washington.
Earlier this month it was reported that #Sabey Corporation might lease "office" space to ICE at the Riverfront Technical Park in Tukwila. This week the Tukwila City Council adopted a six-month moratorium banning "a correctional institution or any detention or related facility" in the city.
How does Sabey & ICE/DHS define "office" space? - Look no further than Tukwila's already-existing DHS office, a mere 300 yards away from Sabey Corp Headquarters. A chaotic scene unfolded there on June 14th, 2025. Make sure to check out our 06-14-2025 Tukwila video (link below) - Tukwila's existing DHS "office" is also leased by Sabey Corp, which has been the site of false premise detainments upon routine and coerced check-ins.
- Allied Universal Security was present during this Tukwila protest. Allied Universal also provides direct, onsite security staffing services for the DHS/ICE facility in Portland Oregon.
- About 2.5 hours south of Tukwila in Portland Oregon: Despite Portland city land use agreements which define detention periods, last year the city of Portland found the DHS/ICE facility there had violated detention periods dozens of times. Many additional violations have also likely occurred, refer to our Portland reporting.
Sabey Corp's Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Joseph Sabey is also serving as the Mayor of Hunts Point Washington. Hunts Point is a small, wealthy ~300 person community with the cheapest of homes being exclusively in the "many, many" millions of dollars range. This week there have been calls to "Pack the Room" for public comment at the March 2nd Hunts Point City Council meeting.
