Thanks to a $1B donation from an alumnus, the #AlbertEinsteinCollegeOfMedicine in New York City will be completely #TuitionFree beginning in August!

Prior to this, tuition there would cost around $60,000 per year on average.

93-year-old Dr. Ruth Gottesman inherited a large sum after the death of her husband, who had been one of the early proteges of #BerkshireHathaway investments. She is a former Professor at the college, and is currently Chair of the Board.

This donation is one of the largest ever made to an educational institution.

The tears of joy in this video are awesome to see!

At a time when we need more health care workers and to bring down the cost of #HealthCare, this is a wonderful step towards both of those goals.

The societal benefits of providing #tuitionfreecollege and #tuitionfreevocationaleducation in the United States would far outweigh the costs and allow persons to enter their careers and service to society without a crushing load of #studentdebt that harms them and their families and perpetuates inequality of opportunity and #wealthinequality.
