Tsumasho ended up being a good show overall. A lot of skipped content from the manga meant that the ending felt a bit rushed, but overall it was an emotional and entertaining watch.

The whole sequence where adult Takae's memories return and overwite the child Marika's memories again was so sad. Seeing her apologising to Marika's mother for returning, and then the cut to where we find out that this is not just reincarnation was an unexpected hard blow. Finishing the episode with Takae sobbing in bed was the straw that broke the camels back 😭

After reading the synopsis for TsumaSho, I predicted that it would either be super creepy or super emotional. It's predominantly going for the emotional, but the creepiness is now there in a very different way than I expected. The story dynamic has a world of difference once you realise that it's not reincarnation in the body of a middle school child, but it's potentially possession.
