Cyclone Idai: UN Chief urges aid to worst-hit countries
Intense Tropical Cyclone Idai is the most costly and deadly Tropical Cyclone of the current South West Indian Ocean Tropical Cyclone Season (giving the season is still ongoing we can hope it doesn't get beaten but the cards aren't off the table).
It made landfall in Mozambique as a Category 3 Tropical Cyclone on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale on the 15th of March 2019 (only last week).
It is also an example of the rare instances of a Tropical Cyclone intensifying to Tropical Storm force while centered overland (It likely had strong convective rainbands form over the Ocean to actually get at that heat and gave it energy as those wrapped in, baroclinic factors may have also been involved)

Looks like Tropical Cyclone Idai has weakened to Category 2 Tropical Cyclone on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.
It is forecast to reintensify but it doesn't look like it'll be a Category 4 landfall in Mozambique now, but rather a Category 3.
That being said the concern with this Cyclone isn't so much the winds but flooding, it is slow moving and not long after landfall steering systems are expected to alter leaving it stationary over land before pulling it back out over the Mozambique channel.
