ChrisThis week has not been a good mental health week for… obvious reasons.
So getting to enjoy a quiet Sunday morning with a cup of tea, a bagel and Sinosauropteryx cuddling right into me is a welcome calming and grounding thing.
Harness training your #cat makes them really really comfortable with other things. Like a sweater for for a chilly apartment or winter walks.
#cats will replicate the weirdest things if they think it is normal.
Every morning when I get up I use the bathroom before making #trixiethetorbie breakfast. The last week or so I have notices that when I get up, she goes and sits in her litter box. I only just realized, she thinks going to the bathroom when I wake up is a normal thing and part of our ritual.

#TrixietheTorbie has grown so confident in her harness. She even walked 1/3rd the away around the courtyard and back. (With the help of three #churu)
It has been about 100°f for the last few days and living in an older apartment with no central air that retains heat has been hell. Thankfully I have a window unit that keeps our living room habitable at least, but it has to be run 24/7 cause if it isn’t then cooling off the apartment will take half a day.
I feel bad for #trixiethetorbie as she is definitely feeling the heat. So she gets extra liquid in her meals and a frozen churu lick mat in the middle of the day.
Been wondering why #TrixietheTorbie has been so tired after eating recently and finally figured it out.
Her current topper for her raw food are freeze dried pellets of rabbit. Turns out she doesn’t like eating them mixed with everything, so one by one she takes a pellet out, places it on the floor then eats it.
I guess we inadvertently made a slow feeder/food puzzle for her

Anyone that leaves their #cat alone while going to work have any tips on how to adjust them to it? Today is #trixiethetorbie first day home alone while both myself and my partner go to work and she spent about the first 30-45 minutes meoing and looking for us then the next hour laying near or looking at the door (thanks #furbo for the ability to keep tabs on her)
Should we play and tire her out before leaving? Or maybe any toy recommendations that are safe to use unattended?
