Dallas County has reported its first confirmed case of #WestNile in 2025. Recently, MA's Public Health Dept reported the first finding of #TripleE — Eastern Equine encephalitis — infected mosquitoes this year.
Aug-Sept is when some nasty mosquito-spread diseases emerge. Be prudent: Use bug spray.

#EasternEquineEncephalitis (#EEE) cases have been reported in five states this year, including a fatal case in New Hampshire last month. Rare mosquito-borne illness, which has no known cure, kills 30-40% of those infected and often causes permanent neurological damage in survivors. EEE is becoming more common in #NorthAmerica as #climatechange expands habitats of insects.

Massachusetts Dept of Public Health reports MA's 4th #EEE case of the season. #CDC updates the national #TripleE count on Tuesdays; with this new case, the national total is up to at least 8 cases in five states, with at least 1 death.

Context: So far this year does not look atypical.
