Crisp sunny weather in #NYC today after some surprise cold front and showers.

The photo, of course, is from a couple of weeks ago.

I'm beginning to really like how the Smena8M lens and TriX 400 combination renders images. Granted, it's not the cheapest film, and coming across working samples of Smena8M is getting harder and harder circa 2026.

River of fog drifting in between the buildings. Couldn't quite capture the scene properly, alas.

Mornings are getting brighter. Time to take out my plastic lens cameras.

Another shot at documenting the old 14th street IRT line station terracotta emblem preserved along the eastern corridor.

Getting a sharp focus with a zone focus camera in these scenarios can be a bit challenging.

Early morning #nyc #subway platform. Waiting for work.

Earlier shot from #Smena8m with #trix400, back in the colder days. This one could have been framed better, but I actually like the halos I get from bright light sources when using this camera.

I love plastic lenses, but also feel sharper glass/multi element lenses aren't necessarily at odds with depicting emotions of the scene and of the photographer. It's all just trying to sketch the light we see in the world isn't it.
