This is why Sony was eyeing and acquiring #Kadokawa as fans were speculating.
Not because of #FromsoftwareGames from #DarkSouls fame.
Sony already has a share in that and would have made little sense to throw more capital into it only for a few game titles for the long term.

It’s the strategic buy into the portfolio of anime and manga, where the market is even more diverse.
With the licenses, Sony can dictate the distribution of many titles and its merchandising.
My fear is that #enshittification will follow, with worse labor practices and less and more expensive services.

Oh, and Sony owns #TrashTaste now.
