Drijfland gaat over de drijvende tuinen gelegen in de Entrepôthaven in Amsterdam. Het uitgangspunt is eind 1999, toen deze tuineilanden in het atelier en naar ontwerp van Robert Jasper Grootveld werden gebouwd. Tot aan zijn dood in 2009 bijzondere onregelmatige ontmoetingen plaats met Grootveld, en tot 2025 met de pioniers die de bochten nog steeds draaiende houden. De film toont de kracht van samenwerking, gericht op het behoud van flora en fauna in deze unieke biotoop en de zoektocht naar alternatieve biobased methoden voor drijvend land.
