#TransgenderAwareness #TransgenderDistrict #TransRightsAreHumanRights

The #TransgenderDistrict of #SanFrancisco, the first legally recognized district of its kind, has lost one of its most well-known residents.

Ivory Nicole Smith, a #black #transwoman and ardent #activist was discovered dead on January 24, 2023.

No details about her death have been revealed by police.

If it's determined she was murdered, it will be at least the third killing of #trans and #nonbinary people in the #UnitedStates and at least the fourth worldwide in 2023
