Trans Pride SouthamptonImportant Announcement!
For the past two years, Trans Pride Southampton has existed as an independent organisation. We’ve enjoyed not just having our namesake event rage through the city as the protest it is. We’ve also put on smaller events through the year, like a meet up at Calshot Beach, and a small queer sports day.
Due to a range of reasons, Trans Pride Southampton is formally dissolving as a Community Interest Company (CIC).
However, we will be merging our resources with Southampton Pride so the event and cause will exist under the Southampton Pride umbrella.
This does mean the Trans Pride Southampton event will not happen on the 25th October, but we will be helping at Southampton Pride on the 23rd and 24th August, to make sure the trans community is properly included and fought for - in perhaps the most important year for Pride so far.
It has been a fantastic three years bringing the Trans community together in Southampton, and we cannot wait to continue to do this with Southampton Pride.
