Have been reading more about DIY and HRT, here's some of what i've learned.

There's international standards for transcare, for instance the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) have standards for dosages for various medications and the levels you should be targeting in your HRT.

On page 257 in their Standards of Care for the Health of Transgender
and Gender Diverse People, Version 8 (SOC8 Chapters)

We see that your testosterone levels should be less than 50 ng/dl.
Using a converter we get to 1.73 nmol/L.

That's a maximum value. My T is less than 0.25 nmol/L and that's okay for me.

With estradiol the range is 100-200 pg/ml.
Using a converter again we get it in pmol/L but we want it in nmol/L.
We take the number the converter gives us and then use the rule of 1 pmol/L = 0.001 nmol/L, to get 0,37-0,73 nmol/L

And that upper estradiol limit might be too low for you, maybe you need one that's a bit larger to feel okay in your body.

We see medication dosages.

Estradiol cypionate, the popular choice for intramuscular injections is listed here and so is valerate.
As i'm understanding this, you can take 5-30mg every 2 weeks or 2-10mg every week of your injection medication.
Whether it's meant that the first is for valerate and the second is for cypionate only, i'm not entirely sure.

For me 2-10mg of cypionate seems enough.
You won't really know what dosage is best for you, till you get your blood tested.

Transfem science has a comparison table between the different medications.
This can give you a rough idea of what injectable dose to use to substitute your other medications.

I'm taking what would be considered 4-6mg/weekly injectable dose with the different non-injectable sources i'm using.
I'll be going up to 8mg/weekly with injectable DIY. Which might be too high for some. For me the dose i'm already getting, feels like it could be a bit higher.
If anything i can always go lower again.

All this assumes that an anti-androgen is being used.
Can't say how different it would be on monotherapy.

Nearly 5 hours later than planned tonight, due to doing other stuff, and a teeny bit of a higher dose than normal, because next week is likely gonna be a more-stressful one, so we wanted a little extra cushion for the season, ya know?

It's the most stressful-est time of the year, after all 😅

Did it about maybe an hour ago, but forgot to do the post immediately afterwarss. It was still 2-3 hours late, but that's kind of become the default 😅 All that matters really is that it was a perfect injection: easy, painless, and no bleeding 🥰

Every injection also feels like a big middle finger up to the NHS and NICE for refusing to prescribe estradiol injections within the UK 🖕🤘

Delayed again by a few hours today. Didn't think we'd have the spoons to do it at all tonight, but had a slight rally. Weird injection though. Not painful, just uncomfortable when pulling out the needle. No blood spurt or anything. Might have been we loosened our grip on the z-track or something, or because we did more walking today by far than we have typically done for 6-12 months. Anyway, all went in fine and no pain afterwards.

Several hours later than scheduled tonight, as was absolutely thoroughly exhausted from today and needed to rest and nap for a while first.

Not a perfect injection, but not painful. Teeny tiny bleed, which we spotted immediately and stopped.
