I realize it's technically Tuesday, but I just got this account set up and stuff. Anyways, these are my top 10 albums from last week on @ListenBrainz

> **Warning**
> If you go looking into the band mentioned below, you may encounter details about the death of the singer that could be traumatic for some.

Discovering The Gits was certainly the highlight of the week. The singer Mia Zapata had a fucking killer voice, she should have been a punk legend, but she was killed in Seattle in '93. The remaining members got back together at some point and released a documentary in 2005 that was just re-released in 2025, along with remasters of all of their albums. I'll include one of my favorite track in the comments.

**Top 10 Releases last week for victimless-grime**
1. I'm Nice Now - Upchuck
2. Fambly 42 - Toys That Kill
3. Drag! - The Dragtones
4. The Good, the Bad, and the Argyle - The Bouncing Souls
5. Energy - Operation Ivy
6. Indestructible - Rancid
7. Frenching the Bully - The Gits

San Pedro Punks Toys That Kill Return With New Video Via Recess Records

San Pedro’s own Toys That Kill are back with a brand-new song and video from their highly anticipated album, “Triple Threat,” arriving February 20th via Recess Records. Emerging from the legendary punk landscape of San Pedro—the same soil that birthed the Minutemen, frontman Todd Congelliere and company have mastered the art of the timeless chorus.

The band, which evolved from the raw, hardcore energy of F.Y.P in the summer of 2000, continues to deliver the signature “TTK thump.” This latest release showcases their ability to dissolve the pretension of rock ‘n’ roll into pure energy and heart. Drawing influences from the Buzzcocks, Thin Lizzy, and the Descendents, the new material captures a sound that is old, new, and undeniably authentic. With “Triple Threat,” Toys That Kill prove once again why they are the masters of broken-edged pop songs and high-velocity punk.
