If you want a deeper understanding of what an absolute shitbird Musk is, then this podcast is quite incredible... He really is a dangerous and nasty piece of filth!

I'm listening to 'Elon's Spies' via my antenna pod - podcast app, but you can listen directly off the attached Elon's Spies - Tortoise Media website link.

Elon’s Spies

Elon Musk is one of the most powerful men in the world. He's a billionaire, the founder of SpaceX, Tesla and more. To his followers, he's a hero; to his critics, a far-right rabble rouser.

But for someone so public, there’s one part of his life that’s less well known.

Elon’s Spies investigates how this free-speech champion uses private investigators and surveillance to target everyone from whistleblowers at his companies, to online critics and people in his own life.

So glad Carol #Cadwalladr got to write her final piece in the #Observer about her second #TED talk ‘This is what a digital coup looks like’ that took place last week…at the time she gave it and pitched the accompanying piece to new owners #TortoiseMedia it was rejected.

It’s not too late to stop Trump and the tech broligarchy from controlling our lives, but we must act now

In her final piece for the Observer, Carole Cadwalladr reveals what happened when she returned last week to give the opening speech at Ted, where she gave her first – life-changing – talk six years ago

New revelations on the #NeilGaiman accusations from #Vulture, which is more reputable & thorough in its investigation than apparently was #TortoiseMedia.

My final words on Neil Gaiman

Caught up with Carole Cadwalladr's "The Power" post from 18 Dec. called "Who is 'the money behind the money?'" about the "sale" of the Observer to Tortoise Media.
I feel sick. My late husband was a subscriber to the Guardian (I am, too) precisely because it was journalism independent of wealthy backers with "other interests than journalism". I wish dead people really could come back to haunt people and make them see the errors of their ways. He would have had a blast at Waddesdon Manor. Or maybe ghosts think "glad I don't have to deal with that sh*tshow"?

Who is 'the money behind the money?'

As the Guardian announces the 'sale' of the 233-year-old Observer to Tortoise Media, I wave hello to my new bosses (hi!) with an investigation of their finances.

The Power

All part of the Oligarch coup she's been warning about and was successfully dismissed by the British media with misogyny and implied threats of violence.

I don't know how confident one can be of The Observer's future.

I'm also sad that two of my favourite columnists, Kenan Malik and Martha Gill, will now be behind a paywall.
