3D Print This MRI Safe Torque Wrench If You’re Rich

MRI machines come with a variety of safety warnings. Perhaps most importantly, you have to be very careful not to take ferrous metal objects anywhere near them, since strong magnetic fields can sen…

#Trolley loaded up with #toolboxes , largest breaker bar and #torquewrench I normally use (to check if they fit) and smol #Lenovo #T460s mini #laptop - plenty of room (lower shelf is not visible in the picture but #smartcharger and another toolbox fit comfortably there.

The laptop will also rest on a Makpac (Makita boxes which I have for my drill and impact wrench) - I would not normally have all of these toolboxes out at the same time anyway so there's plenty of room on the trolley for any job I would need to do.

Just need to reorganise my main tool storage area in the comms room tomorrow evening, to free up some space to make getting the trolley in and out easier (its going to piss down with rain again, so I won't be working out in the yard)

A 3/4 (55 cm) #violin 🎻 [1] for the American chap whose posts I saw on Reddit whilst researching what was involved in changing #sparkplugs - it turns out in USA-land torque values for these are sometimes quoted in *inch*-pounds, but he got confused and ended up borrowing a ft-lbs #torquewrench, tried to put put 150 ft-lbs (203 Nm!) on a plug that should be about 150 inch-pounds (17 Nm). and wondered why the plug was still loose, and his truck was misfiring.

Luckily for him the ceramic had broken before the threads stripped in the cylinder head and the garage was able to extract the broken plug and he was back on the road.

[1] just the right size for a small child of about age 10 to play, and to suggest to the old man that using #metric units really isn't a bad idea..

Safety First: What Precautions to Take During a DIY Tire Rotation

Preparing for a Safe DIY Tire Rotation

Kingdom of Tires

I want to ventilate on how important PPE is since it's the last stop between you and disaster

First these screencaps

As you can see wikipedia clearly states the importance of PPE on motorcycles.
Had my little cousin taken PPE into account he would have survived the crash, given the fact that he had undergone Judo where you learn how to properly break a fall ( he had not)

I'm a PPE freak and use it for everything;
When I cook I use EN388 cutlevel 5 gloves, I use ANSI Z87.1 glasses when I operate machinery like my grinders and drills, along with proper body PPE and earmufs with an NRR of -24dB. Same when I do heavy drilling / demolition / jack hammering, where you need to protect your scrotum and intestines against violent shaking of the machines.

In trucks I have full truck PPE all the way down to my underware, esp designed for driving heavy trucks with heavy loads

If I still screwup I only need to swap out that part of my PPE set with a new one, deduct what went wrong and why, and make sure I dont repeat the mistake

I have been looking for a threat lock test video for a while luckily enough I found a nice one on this Torque test Channel

Treadlock is very important when you have fasteners that need to be threaded at a certain distance so that your outer your middle & inner Chain ⛓️ Rings are positioned property in comparison with the bottom bracket they are on

Best Thread Locker isnt Loctite? vs Permatex, JB Weld & Amazon

I love having over powered tools at my disposal
For me #threadedrods are easily cut with my 228.6mm inch Grinder from #Makita

However I need to cut rods from M8 all the way up to M24, en as you know low carbon steel quality 8.8 rods can't easily be cut with a small tool

I'm also much more comfortable with the lower RPMs of the massive grinder 6600 RPM instead of the gut wrenching 11,000 RPMs that small grinders rotate at
