Founded in 1899, the club first entered the #EastDevonLeague. They went on to win the #TorquayAndDistrictLeague in 1908–09.

Torquay were better than Exeter BUT it was as Gary Caldwell says. Torquay's tackles were late and hard. If City go back there next year, I won't be going. I'll donate the ticket money and money I spent locally to Exeter. There was no respect shown at all.
