Nel cuore della Motor Valley nasce un progetto che prova ad andare in direzione opposta rispetto all’automobile moderna fatta di schermi, software e assistenze elettroniche. Si chiama Brado ed è una nuova manifattura italiana indipendente specializzata in veicoli “luxury leisure”. Il primo modello è Carbon Buggy, reinterpretazione contemporanea del classico dune buggy costruita attorno a una filosofia radicale: peso ridotto, guida analogica e nessun aiuto elettronico.
Dietro il progetto ci sono Matias Mussetta, tecnico che ha lavorato tra Scuderia Toro Rosso, Lamborghini, Dallara e Ferrari Hypercar 499P vincitrice della 24 Ore di Le Mans 2023, e Andrea Mazzuca, co-fondatore di Outlierman e figura conosciuta nel mondo della comunicazione automotive e del lusso.
La Carbon Buggy utilizza una scocca interamente in fibra di carbonio con dettagli in titanio e una meccanica volutamente essenziale: motore boxer Volkswagen raffreddato ad aria, cambio manuale, carburatori e assenza totale di elettronica. La potenza varia dagli 85 cavalli della versione 1.8 litri fino ai 110 del 2.0 opzionale.
Anche il design segue la stessa filosofia. A firmarlo è Juan Manuel Diaz, autore di progetti come Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione e Audi R8 Spyder. L’obiettivo è stato eliminare il superfluo lasciando spazio a linee essenziali e alla fibra di carbonio a vista.

In the heart of Motor Valley, a project is born that seeks to go in the opposite direction of modern cars, made of screens, software, and electronic assistance. It’s called Brado and is a new independent Italian manufacturer specializing in “luxury leisure” vehicles. The first model is the Carbon Buggy, a contemporary interpretation of the classic dune buggy built around a radical philosophy: reduced weight, analog driving, and no electronic assistance.
Behind the project are Matias Mussetta, a technician who has worked at Scuderia Toro Rosso, Lamborghini, Dallara, and Ferrari Hypercar 499P – winner of the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans – and Andrea Mazzuca, co-founder of Outlierman and a well-known figure in the automotive and luxury communication world.
The Carbon Buggy utilizes a bodywork entirely made of carbon fiber with titanium details and a deliberately essential mechanical setup: an air-cooled Volkswagen boxer engine, a manual gearbox, carburetors, and a complete absence of electronics. Power ranges from 85 horsepower in the 1.8-liter version to 110 in the optional 2.0-liter.
The design also follows the same philosophy. Juan Manuel Diaz, who worked on projects like the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione and Audi R8 Spyder, is responsible for it. The goal was to eliminate the superfluous and create space for essential lines and exposed carbon fiber.
