Tokyo’s Hie Shrine is more than 500 years old and we were not just captured by its peace in a crazy, non-stop megacity but I also couldn’t get enough of these torii gates. Such a beautiful place.
I took this at the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shinto shrine in Kyoto. It dates from 711 A.D. and features a path with hundreds of traditional gates. There were a heck of a lot of people here.
