Hey @torproject, it would be really cool if one can filter for ports and bridge types on BridgeDB.

  • It's basically impossible to get a webtunnel on IPv4 bridge.
    • There's no toggle to choose IPv4, only one to explicity choose IPv6, which doesn't work when stuck on an IPv4-only` CGNAT'd mobile network. (Damn EDGEland never changed!)
  • There's no good way to check availability / reachability of Tor Bridges automatically.
    • Half of the meek bridges are down.
  • ...

And yes, I've already tooted about @torproject 's #BridgeDB having need to improvement i.e. being able to filter #TorBridges for ports, type, IPv4 or IPv6 and so on.

I've slowly acquired a list of 49 bridges that I do share with trusted contacts in need...

OFC not the whole one as I want them also get some of their own - decentralization is key...

Well, this is because that would subvert @torproject and it's voluneer's efforts to maintain #accessibility for those that need #TorBridges to even get #Internet access.

basically #doxxing these #Bridges and resulting in users having a harder time to access #Tor by making it harder to circumvent #InternetCensorship.

Because guess who would immediately crawl it?

@torproject In all seriousness, the fact that one can only use #Gmail and #RiseUp to get #Bridges by #eMail is kinda bad and I really think they could've easily added a shitton of more bona-fide eMail providers...

Needless to say there should be some convenient option similar to https://check.torproject.org/api/ip with maybe a rate limit of once per IPv4 or /64 IPv6 per 24 hours and maybe a captcha to get some custom #TorBridges easily...

@b9AcE Amd since North Korea perfected that to the point that it's Regime is stabler than eber, Putin is taking notes from them and China as Roskomnadzor literally blocks all VPN types besides SSH tunnels (needed for Cyber-Warfare) and (hidden & private) @torproject #TorBridges!

To the point that I'd consider offering to setup people with these at-cost prices...

@hkrn same with #L2TP & #IPsec, not just #OpenVPN and #WireGuard.

What does however still work through the #IronFirewall is #SSH-Tunneling and @torproject #TorBridges.

#WhatsMissing are more #meek, #webtunnel & #snowflake as well as #obfs4 #Bridges.
