I enjoy watching the #television show #TopChef. It is a cooking competition. Its stars wrote books. I am reading 'Accidentally on Purpose' by Kristen Kish. Also available are: 'Why I Cook' by Tom Colicchio, 'Talking with my Mouth Full' by Gail Simmons, and 'Love, Loss, and What We Are' by Padma Lakshmi. Padma left #TopChef but she did fine work there for many years. She also chose the best title of any of these books.

KakeTop Chef and Project Runway both had their 20-somethingth season this year, and I found the contrast between them utterly baffling.
Top Chef season 22 was lovely; the contestants supported each other, the judges critiqued constructively, the challenges made sense, the editing showed enough details of the food to let me learn things and get inspiration for my own cooking.
Project Runway season 21 was primarily just a bunch of people complaining about each other. Nobody was supportive of anyone, the judges’ critiques seemed random, I learned nothing, and I didn’t take a single screenshot for inspiration for my own sewing. I didn’t even bother watching the finale. TBH the tone came across to me like a very very early season of Top Chef where they weren’t really sure what they were doing. 20 seasons! Why are they making such bad telly after 20 seasons?!
