TIL Malaysia now has KLP 48, the latest sister group of the Japanese idol group AKB 48. Their launch single is a localized version of Heavy Rotation, which is one of the franchise’s biggest songs, having been sung in various languages.
The funny thing about this version, it’s almost word for word the same as the Indonesian version of the song, as if they didn’t bother to properly localize it to Malay.
Anyway, I wonder why they went with Kelapa 48 as the name 🤔
