Why are there no good phones on the market?

• Yes, even #Fairphone has #enshittified itself too much for my taste!

I don't want much:

• #Android (#iOS is cringe and everything else is either a rounding error or dead anyway!)

• #HeadphoneJack (Cuz I use that thing and #USB-#Dongles are shite! #Sony already did #Waterproof #Smartphones WITH 3,5mm Jacks over a decade ago!)

• #DualSIM (And I mean real Dual-SIM, not #eSIM! with TWO real basebands to be able to have data & calling at the same time, cuz I need that! Bonus Points if it's baseband works with #SnoopSnitch... )

• #repairable like a #Fairphone ( #ToolfreeSwappable #Batteries are non-negotiable! Bonus Points if it can run off USB-C power only w/o a battery or allows hot-swapping of batteries w/o interruptions!)

• #affordable ( < €500 ) or at least not absurdly expensive. (If I gonna pay like €1k+ I might just buy an #Iridium Extreme 9575 PTT used or an #IridiumGOexec instead!=

• No #Bloatware (this includes no #GAPPS / #GoogleApps as mandated for #GooglePlay! Just give me #LineageOS or like a clean #AOSP image...)

@marcan Well, I think that #RAM and #SSD|s should be user-replaceable and #batteries #ToolfreeSwappable.

And no, you'd be surprised how many people do that janky external drive setup - espechally those that can't afford a good machine and have to #Ghettohack together something that allows them to do some computing at all...

Whilst the RAM situation seems to be intentional design of their Apple Silicon and seemingly unfixable, that does certainly not apply to the SSD.

Cuz these two compoments WILL INEVITABLY FAIL OVER TIME AND USE!!!
