Me: stressed out and rushing to finish feedback to students on first drafts.
Starts online meeting to discuss feedback with "So I read your drafts and added some comments" and... sees puzzled stares.
Why yes, I did mismatch the meeting and the drafts. These students had not yet written a draft.
Trying again next week... 🙄
This time of year is always a bit chaotic but this year seems worse than usual. I know why, but knowing why does not stop the Too Much To Do.
To that end, I've enlisted my diary as it's somehow easier to remember things when I have them written on paper than when I have them in my phone calendar. The downside is I can now see very clearly what I've got on. Bah.
I've given notice to my only freelance job, which is comforting, even though the notice is from the end of the year so that's not helping me now.
The thing that is helping is thinking about what I will do with the more time I have next year:
- make some pottery (on a wheel)
- continue killing the lawn and converting it to ground cover and wildflowers
- hike and bike, bake and cook
- put effort into working out how to crochet
- have a go at whittling spoons

I went to an approved photoshop to reverify my RealMe account. No problem getting the photo taken but there's a six week processing delay to flip the switch for Reverified.
Call waiting times for other queries have been from 30 minutes to 90 minutes or hang ups with a message to Try again later. #TooBusy
