@plaguepoems This particular poem reminds me of Garth Brook’s “The Change”, written after the Oklahoma City bombings. The whole song is very meaningful to me but one line in particular frequently runs through my head, especially in today’s world:

And no matter what you do
It's still the same thing’
But it's not the world that I am changing
