🇺🇦 haxadecimal 🚫👑TIL: The IEEE 802.5 standard for Token Ring networking is expected to be replaced by a new 802.25 Tolkien Ring protocol. The proposed standard is expected to be approved by the next working group meeting, to be held in October in Minas Morgul.

Just-for-the-lulz, of course, as Apple's implementation of Token Ring is, unfortunately, slower than Ethernet, according to exhaustive tests of a colleague of mine, PoC.
