Non era male, ma, ogni volta che la Cana passava vicino ai fornelli, la carbonara rimasta sembrava protendere qualche spaghetto, come per ghermirla.
Quindi, se volete provare l'ebrezza della carbonara al tofu, consiglio di farne porzioni ridotte e di tenere lontani eventuali animali domestici di piccole dimensioni (tipo gattini o conigli).

John SchragI think this block of sunfu (sunflower seed tofu, see picture) marks the end of my non-soy tofu experiments. So far Iāve made tofu from chickpeas, green split peas, yellow split peas, peanuts, pumpkin seeds and red lentils.
In terms of taste, texture and ease Iād say the winner is pumfu ā pumpkin seed tofu. It squeezes easily, itās self-coagulating, so you donāt need to add anything to it, the curds are big and firm, and itās really yummy. Unfortunately itās also the most expensive, with raw seeds selling at CAN$6.50/lb at the Bulk store near me. Sunflower seed is a third the price, but the yield is lower.
I like the variety of healthy protein sources. But for Karmic balance, I also make chocolate brownies from the leftover pulp (okara) to counteract any health benefits I might get.
