Today’s walk was about 17 km. Lisbon is a really nice place. But hilly.
Today’s walk was about 17 km. Lisbon is a really nice place. But hilly.
Yesterday’s walk was just kind of wandering around Lisbon. No Chance (the I watch), so about 17k steps or maybe 15km.
Got out of bed, halfway to the coffee maker and said: "Nah, ain't happening" and went back to bed.
No particular reason.
Today's 14.1 km walk was a bit on the obnoxious side. 18.9°C with 18.9°C dew point and 100% humidity. Wore the poncho just to make sure it didn't rain. Success, but it might as well have. 10:09 per and a lightly light 64% (96 bpm). I was struggling, despite what it sounds like.
Ah, well. Tomorrow is another day.
Today's 14.1 km walk was 1 second faster than yesterday, at 9:23 per. It was also 19 bpm slower at 99, a lightly light 66%.
Yep.
it was 21.7°C and 87% was the humidity. It might, or might not, rain for the next few days.
Go figure. Today's 14 km walk took 9:28 per. The old heart was beating at 98 bpm (a lightly light 65%). I might not be in immediate danger of dying after all.
It was 21.1°C with 71% humidity.
Carry on with your usual activities and thank you for reading.
The trend continues with today's 14.0 km walk. Way slower at 9:48 km, way faster heart at 141 bpm (a strenuously strenuous 94%), and adding insult to injury added 2.0 kg.
The weather is still pleasant, though, with a temp of 18.9°C and 73% humidity.
Maybe this coming week will see things settling down.
And it happened again on today's 14.0 km walk. A measly 9:30 per but a vigorously strenuous 137 bpm (91%). Which would be good, except for the fact that the heart rate hasn't been much over a 100 when walking at that speed for the last six months. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Weather-wise it was 19.4°C and 59% humid.
Continuing on with today's 14.1 km walk, it was 10C with 68% humidity. Don't think this pleasantness is going to continue. Anyway, a sluggish 9:21 per and a vigorously moderate 77% (116 bpm).
Usually I would classify that as a brisk walk and let it go. Now-a-days I'm not so sure.
Headed out for today's 14.1 km walk with bated breath. Would today be the day that the old ticker sends me to the doctor? Well, no. About the same speed at 9:21 per but the heartrate was down to a moderately light 100 bpm (67%). The mystery abides. It was a gentle 11.7C with 71% humidity.
Other than that, I got nothing.
