Ich habe gerade ein paar #kurzgeschichten von James #Tiptree Jr. gelesen. Kennt keiner mehr, ist so 70'er Jahre SciFi.

Tiptree war bisher nicht auf meiner "known Authors"-Liste. Mag sein, das ich schon mal was von ____ gelesen hatte. Warum

Wer sich den Spaß nicht verderben will, liest erst die Einleitung von Silverberg zu >Warm Worlds and Otherwise< und ***danach*** eine Bio.

After enjoying Jack Vance's "The Moon Moth" a bunch I picked up his novella "The Last Castle" and the collection of short stories *The Moon Moth and Other Stories* and so far, I must say he is a very uneven writer. He reminds of PK Dick in that way. Sometimes brilliant, sometimes trite, and depictions of women are not, shall we say, his strength.

However, I can see/feel his influence all over the genere. I could just imagine Alice Sheldon reading Vance and thinking yeah this is pretty good, but could someone for fuck's sake write a decent woman? and then she pickes up her alter ego and becomes Tiptree and we get The Women Men Don't See and so on.
