Split Enz started with Tim, then brother Neil joined and wrote their hits. After that ended, Neil started Crowded House...and in this, their third album, Tim joined.
This started as a Finn Brothers release, with true co-writes, and morphed into a Crowded House release.
It's one of their best.

Tim and Neil Finn and Split Enz release their classic on January 21, 1980. The album originally was released in four color combinations – yellow and blue, red and green, purple and yellow, and blue and orange – but would ultimately be given another four makeovers with releases in lime green and pink, hot purple and burnt orange, gold and platinum (to mark its sales milestones), and finally yellow, blue and red.
When the Kiwi singer tours Australia this month, he will do so as a beloved elder statesman – which could not be more different from his first arena show here.
