#TilesonTuesday Alnwick Parish church #LestWeForget
The impress of 'J&M' on a tile in Linlithgow Palace, West Lothian for #TilesOnTuesday. It's the mark of James IV and Margaret Tudor. The king had the Palace largely rebuilt as a gift for his new wife, who he married in 1503.

A fleeting moment preserved for millennia: around 1,900 years ago, a child stepped onto a Roman tile left to dry in the sun before firing, leaving behind a footprint that still speaks across the centuries.

Found in Nijmegen, on display at Museum Het Valkhof.
