#PSA: A quick healthy outdoors note about avoiding #tick bites (and thereby tick-borne diseases):
Before going out:
* Wear light-coloured clothes, long-sleeves.
* Tuck your shirt into your pants, and your pants into your socks/boots.
After going out:
* Do a full body check, particularly in crevasses, dark, damp, or hairy spots, on
* yourself
* kids
* pets
* outdoor gear
Be aware ticks may drop off in the car, at home, only to catch a ride again later.

Progress in some areas in the continuing battle against ticks and tick borne illness. Ticks are moving into new areas.
Also, a free #Tick App exists. I haven't read the info on it yet--we may not be able to join the study--but we can use it to photograph ticks and upload to find out what kind it is.
There's hope for better, faster treatment, and a vaccine that will protect many from easy transmission.
