well now here's a thing with the new E2 #EV.

Out of curiosity, I installed the #Geely app. ok, also cause I wanted to see if I can get at service record etc via that.
Cause its all digital. because ofcourse.

If the car doesn't have internet,what's the worst it can do?

There is no fancy dataplan SIM loaded with this thing. #TIA

anyway,I do the app registration song-and-dance...and...fail

First the app says there's no car.
Later it says "Connected Services" must be enabled on the "head device".

I scratch my head.
That does nothing.
Weird.

Out of desperation,I read the manual.
Ok, it speaks of Wifi...alright, into the car 'puter I go.

No WIFI fidly bits.
BT, yes, but nada for the wiffi.

Eventually, after much poking an scrolling an soft cursing, I happen across a "Connected Services" menu.
I enter, I think a bit, I enable (ar this point I feel challanged - this damn thing WILL work!).
I do NOT enable location sharing...

Suddenly...data appears in the app.
accurate, true, correct looking milage and battery SOC.

Worth saying, BT is OFF on the car, MY phone has not yet even connected to it. wife and kids have played music and made calls tho. if that matters.

ANYWAY, now I'm slightly freaked.
HOW the FUCK is this thing uploading data? is it quantum?

Does it whisper secrets to the trees as we drive past?
WTF? HTF?

Had over 9 uncomfortable hours in the Emergency Department overnight. Taken to the stroke ward this morning for further tests. Have now been discharged. It might sound ridiculous but I’m struggling to accept the #TIA diagnosis.

ED doctors I saw gave me the impression it was a trapped nerve and I’d be discharged early morning. Apart from that and the incredibly uncomfortable seats in the ED the staff were absolutely incredible. Patient, kind and caring. Empathetic. SO very grateful. #NHS
