Ein paar Tintlinge im Hainich fürs #shroomscrolling

A cluster of Coprinus mushrooms growing on moss. The Hainich forest in #Thuringia contains the largest coherent area of deciduous trees in Germany. Since the forest is managed through selective tree cutting ('Plenterbetrieb' in German) and a large part of the area is national park without any commercial forestry scientists were able to find over 2000 species of beetles and the area is also an important habitat for the European wildcat. Still, the Hainich national park is the second smallest in Germany and covers an area of around 7,500 ha.

#Oberhof #Thuringia is known as a training center for winter sports such as #biathlon
I had some time to sketch the LOTTO Thüringen ARENA. (Biathlon)
There in March, the young cross-country skiers trained on groomed snow.
In Oberhof, the snow is stored in some way so that the track can be groomed with "real" snow in the fall when the competition season beginns. There is even an indoor cross-country skiing facility where you can train year-round. Crazy!

I found a hidden spot to draw behind a monument. Still, I was spotted and approched. My notes on this drawing:
"Had two visits from locals from Oberhof. They told me stories about Oberhof. But first they wanted to know what I was doing there."
It was quite entertaining. Someone told me where there is a free excibition (about Sports) and a clean public restroom. Always good to know. 😉

After two hours (drawing), I was completely frozen. Unfortunately, Klaus had taken the key (to the vacation apartment) with him. Luckily, the landlord let me into our warm vacation apartment.
