Everybody say, 'Hey, we want some cookies!'

My first year of college was a disaster. (I survived largely due to inertia -- avoiding making bad decisions by doing almost nothing at all.)

But I lived in an apartment, and I had an oven and a chocolate chip cookie recipe. A common Friday night for me was to bake a batch of chocolate chip cookies and sit and watch 80s music videos.

This means that -- while many songs from the 80s bring up complex emotions and memories -- a lot of 80s songs just make me want to eat chocolate chip cookies.

"Hold Me Now" by the Thompson Twins is a chocolate chip cookie song.

(Bonus fact -- although I have ended up somewhere else -- my original plan for my hair was based on Tom Bailey and his waist-length rat-tail.)
