The #Archdiocese of #Miami is condemning a controversial migrant detention facility in #Florida, which state officials have named “#AlligatorAlcatraz”, calling it “unbecoming of public officials” and “corrosive of the common good"
In a strongly worded statement posted to the archdiocese’s website, #Archbishop #ThomasWenski criticized both the conditions at the remote detention site in the #Everglades & the rhetoric surrounding it
“Wow” - new St. Agnes opens with consecration ceremony :
The church can now fit 600 worshippers – nearly 200 more than its 1954 predecessor.
