My son loved Thomas the tank engine stories, and I found that the story universe would as well as my son grew.
Set on the imaginary island of Sodor, it had links to reality such as a specific geographic location for the island. As my son grew, he could play with more model trains, and later maybe explore the physics of steam and electric train engines.
