One last thought...

The back story reminded me of Oryx and Crake by Margaret Attwood, though having re-acquainted myself with the plot of that, I'm no longer sure why.

Skipped quite a lot of it actually, and only read the last few chapters.

Thanks to a Redditor for the plot synopsis, which saved me the full tedious read-through.

Really hope no-one has fallen too badly for the hype from #Tor

I am terribly glad, I personally, didn't throw money their way for the series.

First was ok, second was erm, and I really think I'll skip through the third to the end.

Here's hoping #Alecto improves and goes back to being as ok as Gideon. Though I'll be in no rush to read it.

Plenty of other books in my collection to read through.
