Eugene, Oregon has quite a few fine institutions, like the Toolbox Project, MECCA, and others.

When the local maker space burned down I wasn't sure what would happen, didn't have the capacity to get involved. They've survived through what was obviously a tough time and seem to be thriving in their new space — open house tonight!
