@brownhamer @frankps Another app I use a lot is the excellent to do app #Things3. Haven't found a good replacement yet, at least not based on the #GTD philosophy https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/to-do-app-following-gtd-philosophy/29234
To do app following GTD philosophy?

I’m a long time Things3 user (macOS only) and now that I’ve switched to Linux and will switch to Sailfish on mobile I’m looking for a replacement. Must have features: nice GUI (I love CLI but not for this) easy switching between Today, Next actions and Someday/Maybe list differentiate between start date (date the task shows up in Today) and due date Thanks!

I’ve fully switched to OmniFocus (The Omni Group) from Things (Cultured Code). The two driving factors were that OF can handle some more complex relationships than can Things; and better external access into OF’s data (in this case through an MCP).

Both are great. Things is perfect for most people. If not for my new needs, I would probably still be there.

Super exciting to see others interested in my “Things 3” CLI for #macOS called “clings”.

The itch to switch back to #Things3 is growing…

#Todoist is a better app in essentially every way except that,
- It has a subscription fee
- It’s uglier

Things is so pretty tho…

My #AI assistant just built me a new kanban page in Mission Control. But not only can I drag product cards through Ideas -> Design -> Build -> Content -> Released for our new products, but each step hooks into #Things3 through CLI and automatically created me tasks, sub tasks for that project.

I’ve tried them all. #Notion, #Todoist, #Things3, #OmniFocus, #Asana, #Trello, #AnyDo, #TickTick. I even built my own todo app once (spoiler: I never finished it). After years of productivity app hopping, I’m back to where I started: a plain text file called todo.txt
