Saw this #tree while going for a walk today. How appropriate!

This may not look like much to you, but it is an oak sapling that I have managed not to kill for two whole years.

It has survived two winters, and to be honest, I was not holding out much hope in 2026 before the first tiny leaves showed up.

This is that tree along the border fence road (the fence is to my back when shooting this photo) that I had a timelapse set up on a couple days ago. It really sounds like the Coronado National Forest wants to close the road to the public, so if I want to get this timelapse, I need to go do it tomorrow, since my weekend is busy.
