"Hocus Pocus" is a song by the Dutch rock band #Focus, written by keyboardist, flutist, and vocalist #ThijsVanLeer and guitarist #JanAkkerman. It was recorded and released in 1971 as the opening track of their second studio album #MovingWaves. Closing Time | No Hang Ups - Sargasso

Sargasso
New #review today: "The band #Focus was founded in 1969, and with #ThijsVanLeer being the only original member left, the group’s twelfth studio album is the appropriately titled Focus 12. Drummer #PierreVanDerLinden has been in the group off and on since 1970, and the other members are bassist #UdoPannekeet and guitarist #MennoGootjes. Musically there are not many surprises here, ten tracks solidly in the tradition of the band’s style..." #ExposeOnline #ProgressiveRock http://expose.org/index.php/articles/display/focus-focus-12-2.html

Uno de los temas más reconocibles del rock progresivo en general y que llegó a estar incluido en la banda sonora de algunas películas. De los holandeses Focus.

As Wikipedia puts it:
«"Hocus Pocus" takes the form of a rondo, consisting of alternation between a powerful #rock chord riff with short drum solos and then varied solo "verses" (in the original all performed by #ThijsVanLeer) which include #yodeling, #eefing, #organ playing, #accordion, #scatSinging, #flute riffs, and #whistling

It'll probably be way too expensive for me, but wow, that #LimitedEdition #preOrder release of the recording of #Ayreon's #LiveConcert #IntoTheElectricCastle (Live and Other Tales), featuring a boatload of #musicians¹ from the #metalMusic scene, and narration by #JohnDeLancie (probably best known to #StarTrek fans as #Q, and #Discord for #MLPFiM fans), looks gorgeous: https://youtu.be/d5f5oTpZe2M
