Working on my book about holes and this rather catastrophic hole seems quite appropriate for today as the US Congress votes against green energy, against healthcare, against common sense, against the people, against the future and in favor of folks like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. It feels like we are falling into an abyss, of fascist greed and climate catastrophe. But we must fight. Otherwise, we most certainly will live that nightmare.

This weekend I attended three protests. Seeing tens of thousands of people helped me feel not alone. Like maybe we yet have some fight in us.

So I made this montage of footage I and others took. The speech is Winston Churchill talking about fighting Nazis. So it’s fitting.
