Ned Raggett (has moved!)It was a lovely night out yesterday to see #ChuckJohnson at #TheeStorkClub in Oakland with a full one-off band in support of his amazing new album #SunGlories -- I regret I had to leave as early as I did but what I caught was, unsurprisingly, transformative. #music
And #AdvanceBase to end the evening at #TheeStorkClub beauitfully. A slew of his Christmas songs, a cover of #JohnPrine with “Christmas In Prison” and a set closer of “The Only Other From Back Home” made for a lovely show. #music
Next up at #TheeStorkClub tonight, #ClairCronin with a wonderful set, a birthday one at that. Darkly moody, folk in ways, metal in implication, and a hell of a great slow keening cover of the Pogues’s “If I Should Fall From Gace With God” to boot. #music

Thee Stork Club has been cleaned, classed up and reopened. drinks are cheap, there's a 7' red velvet pool table that's FREE and the outside smoking area tribute to john waters' (who is not an owner as previously posted but was apparently at the reopening.) pink flamenco's theme is a nice touch.
