A ★★★½ review of Primate (2025)

Alright, here we go. Is Primate a good movie? No, not really. Does it have a good enough story to hold up when the carnage isn't on the screen? A beaten, abused and broken down #Yeti is paraded around Hull as entertainment for onlookers to marvel and gawp at. Mid-performance the Yeti's inner-beast starts to surface and he pleads for help from the audience. It's one last attempt at breaking free. However, the power of 'the cane' returns him back into his box.

LYRICS:

What power art thou, who from below
Hast made me rise unwillingly and slow
From beds of everlasting, everlasting snow
See'st thou not how stiff, how stiff and wondrous old
Far unfit to bear the bitter cold
I can scarcely move or draw my breath
Let me, let me freeze again to death
