It was early productions of the "Dracula" play that gave Dracula's cape its giant collar. It made it easier for him to appear to vanish or transform, since when the actor turned away from the audience, his black cape and collar could completely cover his body.

Vogue Theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia is very haunted. Strange thumping and bumping are heard. Sometimes the ghost of an actress who committed suicide is seen, accompanied by spectral laughter and applause. Sometimes a male ghost is seen combing his hair.

One of Boris Karloff's favourite roles was playing Jonathan Brewster in the dark comedy play "Arsenic and Old Lace," a criminal who is horrified that plastic surgery has made him look like Karloff. Sadly, Karloff couldn't play Jonathan in the movie adaptation. Instead, Raymond Massey got the movie role.

Usually in a theatrical production of "Peter Pan," Peter is played by a woman and Captain Hook by the same actor who plays the father. Originally, the author, J. M. Barrie, toyed with the idea of Hook being played instead by the actress playing the mother.
