I think back to The Velvet Queen (La Panthère des neiges) and what an absolute joy that was to watch. How it delivered such an immersive joy and a sense of reflection rather than a sense of drama.
In all my research on screen writing and story development, nothing yet has explained to me why a documentary like La Panthère des Neiges can deliver so much joy... Despite the absence of relentless conflict.
"The Velvet Queen" is a movie about much more than photographers and snow leopards. It's a call for all humans to connect with our true nature as creatures of the wild.
